SK하이닉스로부터 촉발된 성과급 지급 기준에 대한 논란이 계속되고 있는 가운데, 한국 직장인들 대상으로 한 성과급 인식조사 결과가 15일 공개됐다.
조사 결과 재직 중인 기업이 성과급을 합리적으로 지급한다고 평가한 직장인은 전체의 7%에 그쳤다.
성과급 지급 기준 합리적 7%
3월 4일부터 10일까지 한국 직장인 17,761명을 대상으로 조사한 결과, ‘회사의 성과급 지급 기준을 어떻게 평가하십니까?’라는 질문에 대해 직장인 52%가 ‘비합리적이다’라고 답변했다. ‘지급 기준을 모른다’는 응답도 41%에 달했다. 한편 ‘합리적이다’라는 답변은 7%에 머물렀다.
또한 회사의 평가보상 방식에 관해서는 재직자들의 비판 의견이 압도적이었다. ‘회사가 재직자들과 충분히 소통하고 있다고 보십니까?’라는 질문에 전체 응답자의 94%가 ‘아니다’라고 답했다. ‘그렇다’라는 응답은 전체의 6%에 불과했다.
회사 영업이익은 올라도 성과급은 안 올라
직장인들은 회사의 영업이익과 성과급이 비례하지 않는 점을 성과급 산정 시스템의 문제로 지적하고 있다. 실제로 이번 설문 응답자의 65%가 지난해 재직사의 영업이익이 증가했다고 답했지만, 그 중 자신의 성과급이 증가했다는 응답은 17%에 불과했다.
SK하이닉스의 한 재직자는 “무조건 경쟁사와 같은 수준으로 달라는 것이 아니다. 성과급 지급 기준을 재직자들에게 공유해 달라는 것”이라며, “회사가 재직자들을 구성원이라고 인정한다면 보상 체계에 대해 충분한 소통이 이뤄져야 한다고 본다”라고 지적했다.
HR 전문가들은 “성과급은 회사의 성과에 따라 지급 비율과 시기가 가변적일 수 있다. 때문에 회사의 상황이나 기준을 재직자들과 공유하려는 노력이 오히려 더 필요하다”며 “이번 논란을 보상 방식에 대한 재직자 투명성을 강화하고 회사별 소통 채널을 활성화하는 계기로 활용해야 한다”라고 밝혔다.
